We would like to start by explaining what the heck the Nomad Gallery is and plans to be. Currently we are booking artists from the entertainment and surf industry, and are planning a show a month from August til the end of the year. We are very excited to offer the artists the chance to show their work and be allowed the creative freedom they deserve to have.

The Nomad Gallery is not in a permanent location at the moment. It will be "traveling" between various storefronts in the Santa Monica area for the time being. Hence the name "Nomad Gallery". We will give a very proper heads up before each show and will try our best to find locations near food and other entertainment.

Why the heck are we doing this? Most artists get into this lifestyle because of straight up passion. From observations over the years the larger studios tend to water down that passion and love and we would like to give the artists a place they can feel that passion and express there creative freedom by whatever means they see fit.

The other reason is my own personal dream, which is to surf every morning there are waves, paint all day, own a gallery, and become friends and draw with artists with whom I enjoy their work.

Many of the artists that are involved thus far are personal friends, and those that aren't, we hope that a friendship will develop. For years in the studio environment we were promised a family atmosphere, and have yet to see that reality. We are looking to create that feeling and hope that all the artists will have a close and trustworthy relationship with the gallery and that the artists will develop relationships with each other in turn.

If you are an artist and are interested in submitting work you may find the contact info at http://www.themightynomad.com or you can send a site or a digital copy of your portfolio to gallery@themightynomad.com

We hope to see you all in the very near future!!!

Mahalo amigos!!
-The Nomad
